About

Social work remains one of the fastest-growing contemporary professions today. As society evolves, new challenges confront individuals, families, and communities, necessitating the adaptation of the social work profession to meet these diverse needs. The primary focus of our program is to nurture student development by providing high-quality academic training, preparing them for the demanding and dynamic nature of this profession.

Established in 1982, the Department of Social Work at Bishop Heber College has a rich tradition of shaping exceptional social work students to address these challenges. In addition to offering a full-time, two-year Master's-level Social Work program (MSW) and a three-year Bachelor's-level Social Work program (BSW), the department provides research opportunities with M.
